Save the Kinsol Trestle

The magnificent Kinsol Trestle is the highest and largest surviving timber trestle in Canada. At 614 feet in length and standing 145 feet above the salmon bearing Koksilah River, the Kinsol Trestle is reportedly one of the four largest wooden structures in the world.

Damali Lavenderfest

A fun filled day at the farm in support of the Canadian Cancer Society. Essential oil distillation demonstrations, farm tours, U-pick lavender, lavender harvesting, crafts, guided labyrinth walks, artisans, lavender concession and live music. $2.50 from each adult gate admission and $2 from every 10ml lavender essential oil sold goes to the cause.

Cowichan ValleyGrape Escape
Cowichan Valley • Saturday, August 14th to Sunday, August 15th, 2010
Celebrate British Columbia's newest wine region by bike! Enjoy a carefree weekend experiencing Southern Vancouver Islandhospitality, wines, artisans, cuisine and breathtaking scenery while helping raise money for Canadian research into the cause and cure of multiple sclerosis. The Cowichan Valley Grape Escape is a two-day tour open to all cycling levels and is a part of the National MS Bike Tour, the largest cycling event in Canada. Brentwood College Schoolin Mill Bayis action central for the Grape Escape Start, Finish, Saturday Evening Festivities and Sunday Closing Ceremonies. The tour begins Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. with riders heading north to explore the Glenora Region of the Cowichan Valley. You choose how much of the 70km route you ride and which points of interest to check out. On Sunday cyclists head westbound to explore the Shawnigan Lake Region farms, cidery, and wine estates. There are three different routes of varying lengths to suit every skill level. Choose the best route for you and have an unforgettable ride helping us to end MS.
